This species has been often referred to as “Rocket Frogs” from other keepers we’ve talked to since we obtained our breeding group. This is an apt nick name as these frogs are quite quick when moving about their enclosure. None the less, these are an enjoyable species to observe in a colony setting. A group of 5-6 will be observable at any given time of day once they acclimate to your household traffic. They have a unique rapid clicking call that matures with the frogs as they reach adulthood. Dorsal striping can range from yellow to red and even blue depending on the individual frog.
