Cascade Glass Frog

This particular glass frog, commonly called a “Cascade Glass Frog” which encompasses several species/localities of the same species that have similar appearances, are from WIKIRI Ecuador populations. These are a very unique glass frog to care for and observe; they are quite bold compared to other species commonly found in the hobby.. Males are typically found in the foreground of the enclosure either hunting for food or calling. Females are also not shy about moving about their enclosure. The audible male call is quite pleasant, quick “chirp” and adds to the enjoyment of keeping this species. Small groups can be maintained and we’ve found that 1.1 or up to 2.2 grouping ratios are acceptable within a 24 inch high enclosure.
